At the beginning of lockdown, we were satisfied with our streaming services and OTT platforms. There was so much content to catch up on, this lockdown was welcomed as a much-needed break. However, as our Watch List started shrinking, we started looking for alternate sources of entertainment.
The search led to our good ol’ TV and an old but gold daily soap, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Our mothers’ and aunts’ favorite on-screen couple Kartik and Naira (#KartikNaira) came alive on our screens. But, truth be told, we didn’t really enjoy the show as much they do. What we did ended up swooning over were the beautiful dresses that Naira wears after marriage throughout the show.

This outfit gives us major Madhuri Dixit-Nene feels from her Hum Aapke Hain Koun days. What do you think? We like the fact that Naira has chosen a high-top bun to finish her look. The ensemble is so ornate that open hair would’ve looked a bit overwhelming. The way she has matched her hair accessory to her outfit is especially commendable.

This outfit is a lesson on how to wear red and not look like you are going for your own wedding. We love how Naira chooses to finish her outfit with a contrasting dupatta in a neutral shade. This is a tricky color to pull off but not if you style it like Naira does here. In order to elevate you teal-colored outfit, you should pair it with a bright colored dupatta. Naira looks like an angel in this all-white ensemble. However, her look is not out of this world. It is simple yet impactful.
